Cranbourne Ishinryu was esatblished in 1999 by the late Sensei Des Murphy.

Sensei Des, motivated many of the instructors within Ishinryu and they wish to continue with that tradition of excellence that Des inspired.

Classes for Ishinryu Dragons 4-5 Year Olds
Parents this program was created by Sensei Bruce Hyland 6th Dan in 1999 and is running in all Ishinryu schools, some of the Ishinryu Dragons have gone onto represent both country and state, more the fact the program offers 4 - 5 year old life skills required for school.

Classes for Juniors 6 - 12 Years Boys and girls.
Parents this program promotes discipline-self esteem-self defence. Our instructors regonise that boys do karate to feel good and that girls need to feel good to do karate, our junior program has many challenges and is about setting short and long term goals with the assistance of our qualified instructors.

Classes for teens and adults.
Our teen and adults program has been runing since 1975, with exceptional results, Ishinryu is a safe and effective form of self defence, whlist making it enjoyable to learn.

KATA/forms
Kata is one of the two disciplines Ishinryu excells we have had champions at state level and students who have coached the state team both in Victoria and Queensland, our monthly squad training is conducted by a 15 time state represenattive.

Kumite/sparring
Kumite/sparring is the second discipline of Ishinryu we have been producing CHAMPIONS at International-National-State level since 1975, our monthly Ishinryu squad is conducted by two coaches with the highest achievements at all levels of competition, this is all overseen by Sensei Bruce Hyland former National Kumite Coach and current Head Kumite Coach, Karate Victoria.
